Informed by volcanic processes Ventricle draws metaphorical parallels between lava and blood. Both of these mineral rich fluids can represent passion, lust, and love. Seething and pulsating, they are often hidden from view, sequestered and protected. Yet within these works are woven an iconographic system of volcanic pits. Like blossoms, these vessels of lust and love reveal their contents, releasing them into the night.
